Therapy for Teenagers and Young People

As a qualified Children and Young People’s Counsellor, I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that prioritises each young person’s well-being and individuality. My sessions provide a safe, understanding space where teenagers and young people can explore their feelings, gain self-awareness, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges.

With specialist training and a deep understanding of neurodiversity, I create an environment where every young person feels seen, heard and accepted. This approach empowers them to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and move forward with greater clarity.

I also recognise how difficult it can be for parents to watch their child struggle. My role is to offer a calm and supportive space where young people can begin a journey of self-discovery and healing — one that helps them understand themselves better and equips them with the skills to manage the ups and downs of growing up.

Sessions draw on my solid foundation in counselling, child development and psychology, while always being tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Session fee: £60 for 50 minutes (weekly).

I use a client-centred and evidence-based approach, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each young person. Depending on what feels most helpful, sessions may include creative methods such as art or play therapy, or more structured approaches like cognitive-behavioural techniques. The goal is always the same: to provide a safe space for expression, growth and the development of healthy coping skills.

I understand that a young person’s well-being is shaped by their wider world, so where appropriate, I collaborate with parents, schools and other professionals to ensure a truly holistic approach.

Alongside my professional training, I bring warmth, empathy and a genuine connection to the young people I work with. Building trust is at the heart of my practice, as I believe a secure therapeutic relationship is the foundation for lasting change.

Empowering teenagers and young people as they discover their strengths and navigate life’s challenges is not just my profession — it is my genuine commitment. I look forward to the possibility of working with your family to make a positive difference in your child’s life and future.
